Been in a thoughtful mood lately...though that doesn't exclude momentary lapses into being a twit:P
For many around me...friends, family...even myself...we face decisions every day...sometimes big, sometimes small...but we must always choose. When I look back on my life...there are many moments I would like to have back...many things I wished I didn't say...times when I could have done more, and didn't...and times when I did too much, when I shouldn't. And for all those times, I sometimes wonder how my life...and the lives of those around me...how they would be different...better or worse.
I know...this is an exercise in futility...one cannot change the past...but sometimes...when I have a small moment to myself...I wonder...what if? What if I hadn't walked away from something or someone?...what if I had said what my heart felt when it was bursting?...what if I had hung onto something instead of let it go?...where would I be? Absolutely no idea...b/c all those choices I made (no matter how good or bad)...they lead me to here and now...
